i went on a very strict budget and I went over what i told myself to spend. there was a lot of nice stuff there. a lot of guys had some pretty expensive hockey cards. a few tables had pretty high end baseball and football. didn't really see a lot of high end basketball. i got there at a good time because a lot were packing up and making decent deals. but like in the past a lot of vintage and all.rob167 said:this was the first show there that i have not set up at in probably 3-4 years.i am in grad school, and unfortunately i had class this weekend. hopefully i will be able to do the one dave has in october/november, but time will tell.
was there much in the way of high-end there? usually it is about half-full with vintage with the other half being low-end to mid-end. i usually picked up some nice high-end stuff from non-dealers. dadgumit i am ticked i couldn't make this show!
it was a pretty good list. one of the playmates walked through the crowd selling raffles and doing a few pics. i didn't know so many people came from so far away. this was only 2nd time i had been though. i wonder about musials health. i still want to get him before its to late for pc but my budgets strict right now for newlyweds.rob167 said:no, i am a school teacher in des moines and only do the card thing for fun. i forgot that hockey was pretty big down there as well. the autograph guest list dave set up was pretty stellar this time around. i was surprised to see musial was NOT on the list as he is always there. either dave and musial had a falling out, or stan the man's health won't allow him out much.![]()
