Mike Stanton had two homers and a single in the Marlins' six-inning scrimmage on Monday.
The homers came off lefties Renyel Pinto and Dan Meyer. "I've never seen a ball hit like that, never," said Pinto. "It was like two seconds and it was out." There's little doubt that Stanton has some of the best power in the minor leagues. The Marlins might choose to test him with Double-A after he hit .293/.381/.611 with 39 homers in the Sally League last year.

Oh no doubt he should be given a chance, But there is a reason Dusty was going after Taveras so hard, and it wasn't his OBP%.....
