Stan Musial Triple Threads Jumbo Repaired Jersey 1/3

I've been buying a ton of Ultimate patches and bat barrels, but this Musial might top them all. I bought it on Ebay a few weeks ago for about $150, which I think is a pretty good price. I remember it was sold before, or maybe it was one of the other two, but does anyone remember the closing price from the first time it was listed? I disregarded it the first time, but now that it's in hand I'm glad I bought it. It looks much better in person than I thought. The design is really nice and part of the card has a refractor-like finish.

Damn I was watching it the first time, I am totally blanking out on the ending price though. But I want to say more than what you paid. I was wondering the first time if the patch was on the reverse :lol:

That could be possible. The middle is practically a lump of stitching, so they either went heavy on the repair and put something under it to make it stronger, or you could be right. I'd be too scared to see, though, as I'm sure I'd just ruin it.

Yeah, that was a good pickup. I was thinking of bidding but ahhh. I had been wondering what the discoloration was, but never asked. That stitching is pretty neat, reminding me that they didn't get a new jersey every game, just 2 per year. A different time.
