I don't remeber the last time someone got this much hype in college basketball. He has a HUGE following. How will he fair in the NBA? What will his cards demand?

Reminds me of JJ Reddick, can shoot with the best of em. Think he will be a little better though, and have a bigger hobby impact.

I don't think he will be a hobby stud, per se.

He will definitely be a lottery pick, in my opinion, but not high enough up to warrant that stud status.

If his passing improves and he proves he can step his defense up a little, I can see him being higher.

But he still has Rubio to fight with for the title of a hobby stud ;)

I can't wait to see Ricky Rubio. I've read that he won't enter the NBA draft next year but the one after, the 2010 draft.

He definitely isn't a JJ Reddick... he's much more athletic and can create his own shots. His problem is his size. He really isn't a true point guard, but is too small to play the wing. Curry will definitely be a hobby fav, but a successful nba career? I'm not so sure...

All I know is his dad had one of the sweetest shot out there, a pure shooter and if he has any of that along with athleticism he will be pretty good.

Yep, Curry can get his own as well as anyone I've ever seen. He has the quickest release I can remember. I still think he'll be able to get his own in the NBA, but won't be able to take it to the rack as well. The impressive thing about him, though, is he's a true basketball player. Gets his own shot, clutch, gets others shots, gets rebounds, steals, everything. I think he'll be an excellent 6th man in the off guard position in the NBA. In terms of hobby love, I think he'll be real hot at first but will cool down if he isn't great right off the bat.

I was going to post the exact same thing. The guy will never play the 2, offensively yes, defensively no. He could play the point, but will need to develop more of a point mentality rather than his natural scoring mentality. I say he gets a max 15 minutes a game average, but realistically he is the next JJ.

Let me know if you ever want to move that card.

I was a HUGE fan of his in college.

He was a beast.

Sorry, just an ebay image. Just making that comparison to Curry. I think the auction I stole it from had a BIN of $8.50 or something around that if you want it.

I agree, he was awesome in college.

Trajan Langdon? Are you kidding me? The guy was an amazing standstill shooter, but that's it. Averaged 14.5 points per game in college. Curry has averaged 21.5, 25.9 and 29.1 throughout his career, along with some assists and rebounds...on Davidson. Langdon went to Duke, so of course he got a lot of open looks, especially when you consider he played with Battier, Brand, etc.
They are both great shooters, but that is really where the similarities end...

All I know is I got the same feeling about Langdon, Morrison, and Reddick as I do about Curry. I think Curry is a better player than those 3, and can be a solid NBA role player. I just don't see him being a "hobby stud."

I can agree with that. I just meant as a player, light years ahead of Langdon. I am surprised how little Morrison has done.
