Storing cards in the garage?

It is less then a week before we move and they are allowing us to move stuff into the garage one week early at the new house. I'd like to get some of my way too many boxes of cards over there but am a little hesitant. The garage has a concrete floor and no leaks. Temperature varies between mid-teens to 40+ degrees this time of year. My cards are stored in 3200 ct. boxes and the more valuable ones in penny sleeves & top loaders. Is it safe to bring them there and store them for a week?

not on floor . put down some 2x4's or get a pallet . I do both but I have almost 200 of 3200 counts

Yea, as long as their off the floor for various reasons, they'll be alright. Also store them were nothing might fall on them

I think you'll be alright for a week. Just watch out for humidity.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think humidity will be a problem this time of year. I was more concerned about them going from a 70 degree house to a garage that will be anywhere from below freezing to 40 or 50 degrees, then back into a 70 degree house. The fiance thought condensation might be an issue.

You will get some condensation. That's too much of a temp drop.

An empty house with valuable cards left in the garage? I hope it's a safe neighborhood. I would just keep the valuable stuff with you somehow or at a friend's or with family if possible.
