I had a 2 count lot of refractors sell tonight for $250. My base auto sold BIN last night for $500.

I've got 5 count chrome lot up at 159.99 BIN/BO, and a 10 count base lot up at 199.99 BIN/BO. Both on pace with what auctions sold for in the last few days so I'm hoping that I at least get solid offers in tonight after the game ends

Well the 5 ct chrome lot was hit at that price. $27+ per after fees is solid

I just sold (1) bowman, (1) chrome, and (1) Topps 100 for $80 dlvd. Cha ching!

Nice. I have my single chrome listed auction style ending in like 10 minutes or so but I wish I had listed with a big BIN to see if it would get hit. Will be fun to watch the auction end though..chromes are pushing $40 in some cases.

Good luck :D :D :D
I have two more lots ending tommorow, wish it was tonight instead.....

I actually think his prices may hold for a few days. The way they are talking him up is ridiculous..saying things like 'if he stays healthy, not only could he be a HOFer, but a Historic player'.

The guy is 21 for cryin out loud.

Then again, he's unlike any prospect ever, so maybe the hype is justified.

I think so too. Just think, he can't screw up until 5 days from now unlike a hitter. Heywards hype held on for what seemed like forever so Strasburgs definately can.

And another thing he has going for him....he is on pace for about 8,000Ks in his career.

Assuming he pitches until he's 40...and strikes out 14 a game of course.

But if he can strikeout 14 in his debut as a 21 year old, what is the ceiling for this kid? He legitimately could challenge the single game strikeout record every single game he pitches.

I have had a lot of 3 base and 2 chromes up since Saturday hoping for a nice offer and I have only gotten 9 total page views. Got 1 offer of $70 30 seconds after I listed them and that is all I have seen.

Oh my, not in a good way. I clicked on this with 6 seconds left and couldn't get a bid in time. That is waaaaaaaaaaay too cheap.

Right after the game is looking like the worst time to list...because everybody else is doing it. There are multiple Strasburg base and chromes ending every minute. There just simply aren't enough buyers. But then again, some base bowmans are cracking $30. Weird stuff.

I got just under $26 for my chrome. Not the peak price, but I'm very happy with it considering it came from a $20 blaster.

I was expecting much more of a spike after that kind of performance. Maybe the build up to the debut was the best time to sell.

Just got $350 on my BGS 9.5 strasburg refractor.. Crazy!

That price is just stupid.

Even if he turns out to be a HOFer, there's no way that card will sell for more than $150 once he has more cards available (namely a Bowman Chrome auto). Great sale.

The only thing that sucks about days like today? Casual buyers who have bought into the hype.

Sadly, there is already a stigma around this hobby in terms of value/maturity/longevity...these days only help fuel that. Folks are spending large sums of money on cardboard that can only see decline in value over time. When they go to cash in, they'll find out all of the stigmas are true.

Hype only lasts so long, and once Strasburg has a 27 K game, he'll be hardpressed to pitch a 28 K game unless the stars align perfectly.

It's an exciting day in the sport and hobby for folks like us who understand these things...sadly, it will only push away hopeful life blood in the long haul and potentially attract newcomers of a potentially nefarious nature.

It is a little strange that the post game sales are down. However, I have to think the hype might reach crazier levels right before the 2nd game now.

Even as he has more cards available the prices will drop.

In the long run (say 25+ years), these cards may be worth more than today if it turns out that Strasburg dominated throughout his career and pitched his way to the HOF. Other than something like that, I just don't see these cards holding value as new product come out and flood the market with more Stras Rookie Cards.

Now all the sellers have to worry about the dreaded "0-feedback hype-buyer".

I think I'll get ****** on this one: [ebay:2kzhzn0o]170494207976[/ebay:2kzhzn0o]

I tried to be forthcoming, but tell that to some idiot who has nothing to lose ::facepalm::
