Heres the crazy thing about that Blanks auto I got today. That exact same card used to be mine. It still had the price sticker and "Best Rookie" in my hand writting.

So, did you get it for less than you sold it for?

Have you already made profit on it, or was it the same price?

Nice pickups!

Nice Ortiz pick-up. I remember when that card booked $70; now it's back down to $25 I believe.

Sticker reads $30 so Im guessing I sold it to him back then for $20 or a little less. I paid $10 for it.

Probably going to keep it as I only have a blue one left and just sold my last reg auto last week or so. Ive liked him since the day I pulled his auto in 2006.

Ive found a large amount of crazy deals there and it looks like its about to take off (as far as a small monthly show can). Also a nice day out eventhough its a total two hour drive with a 7 am wake up.

The fact that you landed your own card after it had been left to fend for itself in the wild(so to speak) is worth hanging onto it for just that reason. That's pretty cool.

Great pickups. Iwasnt even aware that there was a show in Stratford. I would have made the trip down 95. When is the next one supposed to be?

The show is the first Sunday every month from 9-2 but after the door prize is given out (around 1:30 or so) the room becomes a ghost town and the dealers leave.

For anyone thinking of going to the next one, dont come if you are into prospects or high end stuff or vintage or wax as there are only 1-2 dealers who have that stuff and Ive heard them say it never sells.

Cheap GU, Yanks, Sox, non prospects rookies, odd ball and a TON of 2 cents (yes I wrote two cents), dime and quarter boxes are the rule of thumb at this show.

Sorry if it seems like Im pimping this show but it is pretty enjoyable if you like this kind of stuff and I know its getting more and more attended every month. And if you like Razor Ramon, the promoter is his manager and usually has a table set up with his stuff.

As for scanning, no chance just because I dont have a scanner hooked up and anyway, they are commonly found cards easily looked at on ebay.

Is that the RARE version? If so...I have a ton of the different RARE and uncommon ones of various players. I busted a ton of this stuff. Had no idea they booked even remotely that high but I don't see the BV being in touch with reality either.

Thats the Ultra Rare version, looks a little like a Gold Refractor with no serial numbers.

The two cards above ($20 bv) were in an auction with no sale at 4.99 although maybe had he listed a BV he might have gotten a bite.
