According to ESPN Chicago, awaiting formal approval, the Nationally televised Strikeforce event, which will air live on CBS, will be held at the Sears Center outside of Chicago!

I am sooooo totally there! Last night during the Cubs/Cardinals game a chick friend of mine from Chicago texted me and asked what we are going to wager on the outcome? The Cardinals were already down 2-0, but I have confidence in my team. So I told her that if the Cubs win, I buy tickets to the Strikeforce event, and if the Cardinals win she buys the tickets. I even told her HOW the Cardinals would win, via Walk-Off home run. Well, bottom 9, Matt Holliday blasts a walk off.

So barring a change of venue and city, I am going to watch The Last ************* Emperor, Mayhem Miller, Jake Shields, Brett Rogers and Gegard Mousassi FOR FREE!

Sam if this has a big draw it will move from the Sears Centre and go to some other venue. Oh by the way
I'm like 25-30 minutes from that venue. I used to live like 15 minutes away.

Richard, I was getting ready to text you and ask if you were familiar with the venue. According to the MMA section on 411mania.com, there are already several other events going on in Chicago that night, so the United Center and such are already booked.

Yeah so is the Allstate too. So this maybe why it is at the Sears Center.

Yeah, the Bulls play at the United Center. The Chicago Pavilion hosts the 56th Annual American Indian Pow Wow, and the Allstate Arena hosts Barnum and Bailey Circus. All on the 7th.

Yep the Circus has owned the Allstate and the Untied center for like 20 years now
Well not the United Center is not that old but the have done the Chicago stop for the circus
for ever it was at the old Chicago Stadium before the UC

It can be an ok place, so maybe this will work for it. I have been to it 2 times, once for a concert and
another time for a football game. Both times it work well for those.
