i have a card that has been given a 9 on edges, 9.5 on the other three subs. i REALLY want to own it with all four subs in 9.5

how realistic is it to expect a sub bump for edges? (yes, ive examined it, and like anything else, it depends on the mood of the eyeballs on it i suppose)

im thinking of giving it a bump shot at the show this week.

Isn't a gold label, a gold label?

What if its damaged en route and you have a BGS 6 card =\

No, not at all.

Explain? I've reseearched different card sales and being 9.5/9.5/9/9 doesnt have much of a sell difference than a 10/9.5/9.5/9.5

Just askign for some info, I'm debating submitting around 20 cards, but if a low 9.5 is worse than a high 9.5, i might reconsider and only send the gem of the gems

Sales may very well be in the same price range, it's just more of a challenge to find Golds with no 9 sub grades

LOL Alex.

Im going to try to get a sub bump on a card at the natty. .5 away from a 10.

"yes" lol classic
moxacaine I can see re subbing if yorue .5 away from a 10, i just cant justify spending the money to get a 9 off of a gold label when 1- you can grade a whole other card and 2- might still get a 9 (or worse)

Agreed. I'd like to have a 9.5 with a 9 sub over a 9, obviously, but if I'm buying a card I want in gem mint, I want all four gem subs. True gem.

As for the original question, I had a superfractor that had all 9.5/10 subs with an 8.5 for centering, I think on my fourth time, I finally hit the 9 sub.
