question for Alex or Adam our resident computer guru's..

my daughter has a pirated copy of XP on her computer which I want to wipe her harddrive and install a genuine copy of XP on instead. can I buy a copy that has been previously installed on another computer or will I have issues with that as well? either of you have a copy available that I could pickup reasonably? I want to fix her computer so that she can do the things she needs to do without hassles. should it be home edition or professional?

MS no longer supports XP so I am not sure if you can still buy a copy retail. I don't have a copy at home but I can look at work for one. IIRC I think it is only one key per use.
