Who ya got? I believe the Colts will take this one ,but I chickened out and went with the moneyline instead of the spread. The over/under on the other hand was pretty easy for me. 37/43 Super Bowls have been under 56.5 points.

You'ew wrong, in Superbowl 38 there were 61 points scored, #37 69 points, #31 56 points, #29 75 points, #27 69 points, #26 61 points, #24 65 points, #21 59 points, #20 56 points, and in #13 66 points. I think this one will be around 27 points by the first half and over 55 by the end of the game. My bet would be a 2 team parlay with the Colts and the over. Especially since the Colts have a great offense and the Saints defense is mediocre.

Yea, the first post I made was a teaser parlay (much higher over/under). My brain farted. I just didn't delete it in time for someone to not see my mistake :P

Every year it's suppose to be a very high scoring game and it usually isn't. I remember Super Bowl 42 Patriots/Giants game Vegas set the over/under at 55 and the score ended up being 17-14. Usually the over/under is only covered in the Super Bowl when games become blowouts and I don't see that happening.

I was surprised by your intial post as I always thought you were much smarter than that, the brain fart comment cleared that up lol. Two great offenses, Colts D is decent but can give up some big plays and the Saints D isn't great. In fact I will be surprised if there isn't more than 60 in this game. In 11 days we'll find out, can't wait!

Yea, I did to.

It wouldn't shock me if it was a high scoring game ,but 57 total is still a ton of points and neither teams D is horrible. 8TD's and a FG is a quite a bit of scoring. I feel every year the over/under is inflated for the SB. I'd be interested in seeing how many over/unders have been covered out of the 43 superbowls. Super Bowls are a crapshoot. One of the harder games of the year to bet on IMO.

My prediction? 31-24 Colts

Two things...

1) I wish the Colts good luck (and a win).

2) I wish I could read (and understand) the initial post!

lol..i get it. The first one was very confusing ,but it would have made sense if I had gone with the 12.5 teaser parlay. I tried to be to fancy with the bet ,but it just didn't pay very much. I would like to use my mulligan.

PS: I did hit the big parlay last week. does that count for anything..heh
PSS: Drugs are bad.

i think it will be a high scoring 35 28 colts

W/ Jerraud Powers more than likely to be out I think Brees will be able to pick apart the colts secondary. If freeny is as hurt as they say i think it will be high scoring but the colts take the win

I imagine i'll be the minority going with the under next week ,but I have a feeling the Colts will take the lead and slow the game down in the 2nd half. I also think we might see a few more FG's than you would expect. It'll be fun though.

Weather could also be a factor correct? Look for the a drastic change in the over/under if rain/thunderstorms are in the forecast next weekend.

The biggest thing I've noticed with these big games is the nervous play-calling of coaches. They're also super conservative to start out, and the over-under will be largely determined by who scores first and when that happens.

We could have 2 or 3 defensive series, followed by a punt-return td, and all hell'll break lose. It's sorta like delaying the inevitable, I guess. As long as we don't have to wait too long for the first touchdown, it'll go over.

I hope both coaches throw caution to the wind and just go for it from the first drive. I'd rather not see Run, Run, Pass to TE, Punt on the first drive from both teams, but no one wants to make the first mistake.

56.5 is a lot of points. It's the highest over/under Vegas has ever put on a Superbowl according to wiki.
