I agree. They should put the hologram inside of the case as well. So that you would have to open the case, and then peel it off, which would help to eliminate fakes.KLARNOLD said:Why don't PSA, BGS & SGC put holographs on their labels to protect against counterfeiting? They could make the holographs stick to the holder so if someone tries to remove the label, it will tear, making the label VOID.

Very likely.
PSA slabs are duplicable. That seems to be the case here. All you have to do is buy the tech and machinery PSA uses and all that stands in your way is duplicating the labels. Sound crazy? If there is enough money involved, people will be motivated to do all sorts of things that stretch the imagination.
But there has been a significantly more likely and therefor dangerous thing that's happened in the past... and it could certainly happen again.
Let's say you have a totally legit Mantle '52 Bowman card, PSA 9. You can pop open a PSA slab without cracking it (razar blade to the edge I would guess.) Take the case with the label, insert legit but lesser condition Mantle (or even total fake) and then heat seal the case closed. You could then take the card that was a PSA 9, send it in to PSA, and get another PSA 9 Mantle- "now you have two, two, wonderful mantle 52's, ha ha ha" (The Count's voice.)
Pretty scary stuff. If you ever see a PSA case with what are called frosted boarders... you can assume what I just wrote, happened to that card. So unless you want a fake PSA 9... stay the hell away.
That's what we call 'round here crap engineerin' Oh yeah, yeah, no one's, no one's, going to try to tamper with our cases... it's only the other guy's who actually thought about this that that could happen to.

Frosted borders?
G $MONEY$ said:Its what happens when a psa case is cracked, then sealed again. There will be a "frosting" around the borders....
Here is an image of a known PSA fake with "frosted borders"
