Hey all,
I received a pack today from a friend who I met a couple years ago through another friend. Last time we saw each other, we talked baseball for a while and he knew I was a collector. He texted me out of the blue last week and said "Let me get your address. I have a late wedding gift for you."
So I get home yesterday and I see a box on my porch from him. I open in and inside I find a letter saying, essentially "I've had these since I was a kid... I know you'll appreciate them and take care of them. Enjoy!" Inside the package, I find 5 baseballs...

Orel Hershiser - The story behind this (which he told me at one point) is that his uncle (Garrett Teel) was drafted by the Dodgers and he and his family went down to visit him for Spring Training one year and that's how he got this.

1989 Yankees (partial) Team ball. I need some help identifying some of the autos on here. I might make a separate thread for that.

1991 Yankees (partial) Team Ball. Same thing here. Need help with some of the autos...

He says this is a Hank Aaron signed ball he got in person from when his uncle was playing in the Cape Cod League. That's all the details I know about it. It's (obviously) faded to XXXX, but I believe him that it's legit. And from what I can see of it, it looks like Hank's auto

Sandy Koufax - Got this the same time he got the Hershiser. At 1991 (I assume) Spring Training. A little faded, but still in very decent shape considering it's age and the fact that it belonged to a kid.
Needless to say, I was floored by the generosity here. Thanks for looking! Comments welcome!
