Indeed. If Green makes that routine play, Tazawa gets out of the inning unscathed.

Lets see how he does after that delay...
Seriously, I LOVE Ellsbury....IMO I would want him in CF over anyone else in the majors, he makes incredible catches look routine.

Upton is just as good fielding and his arm is about 10x Ellsbury's.

I've been pretty impressed by Tazawa so far (hope i don;t jinx things). It's almost unfair to throw him in the position that he has been thrown in with so little experience - so he obviously has not been dominant or perfect, but he has been able to make some nice pitches and get him self out of trouble. And as many already pointed out - the first inning tonight was hardly all his fault.

I still am surprised though that he is starting and they did not go with Bowden. Was it simply due to Bowden having pitched the day before and they needed Tazawa in the pen that night? If nothing else I thought it would be Bowden because he has at least been up and as I said, Tazawa has had such little experience to this point.

And as I'm typing - that was a heck of a job to get out of the 3rd without giving up a run :D

What an awful performance. 1 Earned run through 5, and it easily should have been him toeing the rubber in the 6th, if it wasn't for the AAA SS, costing him about 30 extra pitches, and all of his runs.
