This is just a suggestion if you decide to do a group case break for Triple Threads.....I think the pack per spot is the way to go, and if a case is 18 boxes, that means you have 6 hits after everyone gets their pack hit. You should go ahead and still do a random team drawing, and those last 6 hits should go to the team, or if its is one with multiple teams, do a random drawing between the teams. Just my opinion, and good luck with whatever you all decide to do.

extra 6 hits? 18 boxes 2 packs per box = 36 slots

I am sorry.....I went through and typed that out a bit quick, and didn't specify better.....I meant make it a 30 slot break, so that everyone, assuming 30 diff people sign up, gets a hit. 30 spots = 30 teams.....use the last 6 pack hit plus all the base cards as a team break, with the hits that include multi team being randomed off between the teams represented on the cards. This is just a suggestion, and I appologize for not being more clear the first time.

thats like a $16 difference in slot pricing. but yeah it might make it more tempting for people to sign up knowing they might get an extra pack.

I'm really liking the drawing for a pack or box(like the ultimate signature cases) I hate getting zero cards or a really bad team for that year( most Nats/Expos, early Tampa and Florida) I'd like to see a 3 case 05 Leaf Limited 30 packs !( 3 case hits!)

would you be up for some 08 triple threads slotted by the pack?

Could you explain how this would work? Don't be afraid to get rudimentary, I'm a noob

I tried a Triple Threads case break as my first case break idea. I put it out there as a hit = a slot. There were 36 packs, so I think I had 36 slots. I got flamed by people saying there really was no way to make this worth breaking b/c the price per slot was too high for the value of the cards and I was told that most cards from this product sell very little money. After a week of having it listed and no one signing up, I dropped it.

Maybe it was b/c I had not previously done a team case break and maybe now Mox, or myself, or Andrew would have more success since people have done our breaks and see that we do a good job with them from start to finish.

Along these same lines, I posted a list of products I think would be fun to break in the thread Andrew started looking for other ideas (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=25643):
1993 Finest
1995 Bowman's Best
1997 Bowman Chrome
1999 Topps Traded Set Cases
2000 Bowman Draft Set Cases
2000 Topps Traded Set Cases
2001 Leaf Certified Materials
2004 Leaf Limited
2007 Exquisite Rookies
2007 UD Black
Prime Cuts (any year)
Triple Threads (any year)
Bowman Sterling (any year)
1950's & 1960's Cello packs purchased from a reputable source.

Also, I have another break ready to go on 2 cases of 2008 Bowman - perhaps one of the most loaded products still left with a decent price tag. I've had this ready to go for over a week now, but I can't seem to get the permission to post it until people start acknowledging that they have received the cards from 2008 EEE that I broke last week and sent out (if you were in that break, please post in the 08 EEE thread that you got the cards (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=37323). This is very very frustrating to me given the reputation I have worked to earn here and quality FCB feedback from others on the site that have bought stuff off of me through the trading/selling forums. To allude the OP's point, there is practically NOTHING listed right now for case breaks and it seems people are looking for one! I'd love to get this listed AND I'd do another case of 2008 EEE to follow it right up. I'm ready to break.

Love your attitude Bill. I will be posting all my wonderful cards as soon as I receive as well as the two freebies I won! Some of the products you listed are pretty sweet. I wonder how we can generate interest to bust these.

Hey Bill,

Just concerning your paragraph here. The mods are making sure they don't have any sticky situations like they did before you or I, or even Andrew, were doing case breaks. They had some guy just tear off I think - I really don't know the whole story.

Anyway, I know it's hard waiting around for their approval, but I'm glad they are handling things the way that they do. I don't think they are concerned about your rep, they are just being fair and looking out for everyone.

I had to wait over a week to post my new signups but it'll get here soon enough. You did an amazing job on your EEE break (which I should have your pmt for soon, no interest right? ). Once people start posting they got their packages, you'll be good to go!

Blanning and BCA are doing great jobs as mods

Take care

The fewer going on at a time, the more action they will get. It was a bit much when there were 10+ breaks going on at a time and the "newbies" hosting group breaks were having tough times filling them. Having only a few is much better for everyone
