The back says "official baseball game" as far as when it was used, but this HAS to be from an old timers jersey, right?

Yeah most likely not an authentic GU patch, but a nice looking card nonetheless.

the jersey the patch is on is WHITE. the jumbo plain jsy from andrews break has yellowed as well as the small jsy swatch

The 09 Ultimate jumbo cream colored swatches are from pants not jersey, just like the jumbo 1/1 swatches from last years Sterling( thay said game worn pants on the card), both cards used the same material.
