After reading the article, I don't think this has anything to do with believing in Jesus or not. But just to play Devil's advocate:

When you were in school did you say the Pledge of Allegiance? If you did, you said, most likely with your hand over your heart, "I pledge allegiance to the flag." Does that mean you were pledging yourself to something that wasn't your Jesus or Lord?

if someone doesn't want to stand for God Bless America then that's their right as Americans. I see people not standing for GBA all the time and don't think anything of it.

I always stand for the Anthem and take my hat off. To be honest, I am lazy and would much rathe just sit there with my hat on instead of standing up, but I stand up because I don't want to look like a *******. At least I will admit it.

But if I chose not to stand for either and was ejected from Busch Stadium or some local ballpark, I may think about filing suit too, because it's ********.

It isn't a law that you have to stand for either.

I don't stand during God Bless America either and it has nothing to do with being un-American. I have no problem saluting the flag, standing during the national anthem, or paying taxes but I draw the line at supporting a non-existent deity that has led to the slaughter and alienation of millions of people.

You probably just added a good 5 pages to this thread with this that comment.

Sounds more like a bunch of self important, thin skinned babies that shout down anyone that don't believe as they do and do more to hurt the country than to protect as they claim to do. Oh..and the people in the article aren't that great either.

The answer is simple really, one of the parents of one of the kids is a LAWYER. If that were not a case, a suit would have never been filed.
