His .229/9/37 translates to .229/23/95 over a full season. Of course Teixeira is one of the streakiest hitters in the game and always has been, so those numbers could improve quickly if he gets on a tear. What do you think his totals look like at seasons end?

Personally I'm thinking .270/33/110. Below his regular standards, but solid the rest of the way.

I just don't remember him starting like this in Texas or Atlanta. Maybe I am paying more attention this season because I drafted him in my fantasy league. Last year I took Miggy with the 9th pick, this year I took Tex with the sixth pick of Miggy. I am kicking myself as ya'll could very easily see at the moment.

He'll probably end up with okay numbers. But, it seems every year he starts off really really slow. To me, for a player to be a superstar, he's gotta show up for more than 60% of the year.

He's never slumped this long, but he's a notoriously slow starter.

I'm amazed Tex is ahead of Cabrera for all star voting.

maybe because hes not. a alcolholic wife beater who laid down on his team.
