I go to Bowling Green hot rods games all the time! And Tim Beckham cracked a bat and i wanted it but i didnt know how to get it. Where do you go to get cracked bats and what not?

Andrew Cashner was pretty impressive in Game 1 yesterday. However, I predict a major injury with the side arm release he has.... Violent Oswalt whip half sidearm with torque is scary. Cashner early success in the SL is due to batters not picking up the ball due to the whip. He will have that injury and then they will alter his mechanics and its a career in the bullpen.

In regards to cracked bats:

A. Some players are under contract to keep them: Justin Upton

B. Some teams have their field manager gather the bats to resell in the giftstore. You will even have some bat boys tell you they been instructed to not give the stuff away if asked. Ignore them, its not their bat.

C. Ask the player before the game if he breaks a bat, if you can snag it after the game. Be somewhat smart with your delivery and don't ask every player.

D. The Dayan came from a Cubs player that broke his bat. Last year, I got a Hanley bat from Ivan De Jesus Jr. It is custom for players to swap bats during ST to try something new.

E. The last game of the year, players will be tossing everything because they don't want to carry it back with them to the complex. Its a field day from locker name plates, uniforms, bats, gloves, etc.

I got some of the smokies earlier this year. Got Sandberg 2 days in a row. His auto is kind of junky. I got a 83 Fleer Rookie signed.. in cubs blue. Very cool looking.
Also have a ROMLB, its in my office right now.
Overall not a bad team for Autos.
