man you all are jock sniffing Bryce more than you were jock sniffing Heyward last year and Matt Laporta the year before that. Who is it going to be next
year after Bryce sucks?

Sincerely,
Matt Bush

Kevin, you're a baseball fan so it should be obvious to see Harper's skillset to be different than the other fallen prospect misses.

Yes, it's a small sample size, but the tools and drive are screaming.

Sane statements don't penetrate the skulls of some.

I just get a little sick in the stomach when I see Bryce's name in the same sentence as Mantle. LaPorta was compared to God for almost an entire year, I guess
God wasn't a 5 tool kind of guy but Harper is. It's a long season and Bryce hasn't hit .400 yet.

I have seen this before and I think it's funny, heck even the mighty Pujols is proving he is human. Maybe we can limit the amount of Harper threads to
just one big **** of lust?

lol Harper is so far having a better season than Mantle did at 19 and is having the greatest season a 19 year old has ever had so far. Is it his fault that his statistics basically force people to mention that he is outperforming a 19 year-old Mantle. It's not like people are saying he "could" be, he IS.

The kid is awesome. Hes great for the game. And he is
awesome to watch.Having wagonloads of young impressionable
fans , him answering that question would be like Derek Jeter answering
a question about which model he enjoys pre marital sex with.
Harper is a mormon and his religion is against
such behavior. Along with the fact is that he is so
freaking marketable that his young, clean image
is worth millions and could take a hit with such a dumb
question. Reminescent of Kim Jones asking Joe Torre
if he was disapointed in his pitcher lasting 2 2/3rds innings.

Simply put , Its just a clown question.

My best guess would be prescription strength ibuprofen for the bottle on the shelf.

I'm not a Republican, but this is really cool...

If you've never heard genuine laughter at a political press conference before, check out this clip, which has Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid invoking Washington Nationals player (and Nevada constituent) Bryce Harper's "That's a clown question, bro" catchphrase. Harper first uttered the now-viral quote last week, when the 19-year-old was asked by a reporter about his favorite beer (in Canada, where the drinking age is lower). Showing crack (and unexpected) comic timing, Reid parried a question from a reporter — Roll Call's Steven T. Dennis, about Republican handling of the DREAM act — with the same putdown. The 73-year-old Reid appears to have a bit of a man-crush on Harper, whom he first praised as "a good role model" all the way back in 2010.

I really want to hate this guy but he really has handled himself incredibly well since his call up.

I'm starting to think maybe he could turn into a class act in-spite of piss poor parenting instead of turning into a grade A ****** bag because of them.

So we now consider a little less than 200 at bats a season? I'll admit he is doing well so far, but there has been some serious overreaction.
This was a pretty good 19 year old season, lets see if his stats are similar at the end of the year.
