I raw graded these over 3 years ago. Too lazy to ever send them to be slabbed. I had a gold 9.5 but traded to a bnb member forever ago.

TUIASOSOPOOOOOOO Where's that Red Refractor I love so much?

The guy who bought it off of me actually contacted me not long ago about a card I was selling, I believe he said he resold it. So who knows where the "awesomeness" is.

Here's something from my Photobucket though...

I drool every time.

Does anyone know who ever got the Red Ref from Phil Hughes? Those red 2004's are mayyyyybe my favorite refractor ever.

I dunno, I'm still pretty partial to the 2002's. It's close though.

(Not sure why the scans are so small)

Now if we're talking best refractor from any Bowman product, I go 2004 Bowman Sterling, especially the autographed Black Refractors. Sorry, no Tui pick.

I like the silver ink on black. But I don't think the refractors popped as much.

The regular refractors didn't, but the Black and Red really did.[/quote:nu2s9vpk]

I gotcha. It's weird how that was. Usually the blacks now don't pop as much as the other colors. And really it just seems odd in general that there is so much variation between years. It's the same technology. The lack of consistency is odd.[/quote:nu2s9vpk]

I think the Refractors suffered from there being so much white on the cards. Here's one of those lovely Black Refractors.

The scan is a little dull, but you get them in hand and in light...awww yeah. :)

I would like to lobby hard for Topps to do on card(since that has already be proposed) and black refractors with silver for 2009 Sterling.

Now that could be the best yet if done right.

A little off topic, but when I just searched Jason Lane completed item I came across the dumbest triple auto I have ever seen. If somebody can put the connection together feel free to explain

Griffey Jr./ Dawson / Lane Triple Auto

Who are three people who have never eaten in my kitchen auto
