Yah, for all we know, he can cut it up into 25 pieces and make them a part of a "original rookie card" insert card/25 - it's his now and he can do what he wants with it.

Uh, maybe I shouldn't give Topps any new ideas- imagine an original 52 mantle sliced up for a 2010 topps updates and highlights insert.

That would be card insanity.

Yawn, Old Idea

The OP's post and beinging of this thread is spam. Period. He had no intention of discussing prospects, superfractors, anything other than selling his card.

Is the card one of the top prospect cards in the hobby and worthy of discussion? Yes, but to say it isn't/wasn't spam is nonsense.

Technically, this is spam, but not all spam is bad and should be removed.

Its not a spam thread because we haven't seen any SPAM!

You really wont let this rest will you, the first post is spam why dont you go re read it and tell us where the discussion was? 99% of the people here make this topic its moved period. But somehow its your mission since page 1 is to defend it, keep up the good fight. Nice job saying people are getting all conspiracy driven earlier in the topic, thank goodness nothing went down odd since then.

You ever been to the grocery store before? You ever walked down the potted meat aisle? You ever turned your head and seen that little can with the 4 little letters on the side that spell out S-P-A-M? That's what I was referring to. Its called a joke. I like to joke. Do you like to joke? I hope so. Lighten up dude.

I would love to know what that means?

It means some spam is acceptable. His forum, his rules. He deems this one acceptable, so it is. Issue over.

Sometimes an auction that one of us has listed is a relevant conversation piece. The superfractor of the #1 hitting prospect in baseball definitely meets these criteria.

And theory, that isn't what I said.

I know, but it's the truth. If you and the mods are fine with this thread and don't move it, then there is no issue.

So was he one of the kids that was picked on in grammar school and then he took his ball home because it was his ball? If thats the case its time to grow up and play by the rules everyone else has!

That doesn't mean that any mod should be a dick about it.

The "my board, my rules" card should be played VERY sparingly.

Better question why was this not edited and made into a fcbay thing? If you guys are allowing this you may as well get a piece.

Anyone think that maybe he got more than $1550?

Maybe he got $2500 and only posted the sell price of $1550 to fuel the fire..

I have sold cards for more than what an auction site said to save fees..

Just a thought...

Personally - I would wait 8 days to get the $1500. However, the buyer should have discussed with the seller first. I had a deal that was $3,000 where the buyer wanted 6 months to pay for it, and I would hold the card until I received all funds, and I agreed to it.

I really appreciate sellers like that. There are times that I might want a high dollar item and not have the total funds in hand, but can easily make monthly payments. Sellers agreeing to accepts payments are becoming more and more rare.

If a buyer contacts me PRIOR to bidding/submitting an offer/hitting a BIN, i have no problem waiting. Its when they don't ask until 5 days after the listing ended that gets annoying.
