Could this give some insight into why there's no pattern 49 diffractors?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-RARE-ERROR-IVAN-RODRIGUEZ-LARRY-WALKER-Topps-Tek-LOOK-/272513822724

I know the card isn't a diffractor, but it is a pattern 49 error. Perhaps the printing run went afoul during the pattern 49s and they were mostly trashed, diffractors included? Just guessing off the top of my head.
But pattern #49 exists in the base set... It would be hard to get that info unless one could prove pattern #49 is very SSP.

Jeter diffractors closed last night but below recent Big Hurt diffractors; why?

Good question George. Could be that there are more Thomas Tek collectors than Jeter Tek collectors. But with Jeter being a Yankee, and being with them his whole career, maybe not. Or it might be because of home runs and/or the HOF.

I bought one and I am happy with the pickup.

Thank you George_Calfas! Received this surprise Lankford yesterday - now I'm just down to two Cubbies!

Also picked up this Tony Clark - thought the pattern was cool:
