You sports fans in Boston are sooooooooo lucky and spoiled this last decade. Multiple Super Bowls, a couple World Series titles, NBA Championship and now on the brink of a Stanley Cup. I could not even imagine what it would be like if i lived in a city with all these titles.

Wait, aren't you in Edmonton? Were you not alive in the 80s?

And yes Edmontonians were extremely lucky in the 80s with 5 Stanley Cups and 5 Grey Cups, but look at Boston this last decade, they have all the big trophies except the Stanley Cup. Without doing any research i would have to imagine that Boston has won the most professional sports titles than any other city in North America, the last decade.

Yikes. At least you had Roberts, Neiuwendyk, Mullen, Big Al and Vernon. That was the first year that I became aware of hockey and can actually recall chunks.

Naw, it's gotta be new york. I bet Montreal would have enough cups to negate Boston's basketball and Football teams

Boston has been very, very lucky though. I'm not sure if it's worse to live in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver in terms of pain, though. Montreal and Vancouver lost franchises, but Toronto keeps trekking along.. bit by bit, learning to suck a bit more each day.

Oh im not complaining. We had some really amazing teams in Calgary in the 80s and early 90s and if it wasn't for Edmonton we would probably have won 3 or 4 Cups instead of just 1.

Calgary Vs Edmonton in the mid 80s to 1990 was some of the best Hockey to watch ever.

Sorry i edited my post but you must have missed it. I meant (I think) Boston has won the most titles in the last decade not all time.

They said they were closing all the downtown liquor stores one hour after the game started to avoid a ****-show.

I am safely on Cape Cod, I decided to watch the game and have my Mom and Dad who took me to my first ever pro sports event Bruins vs Oilers in 1984 I believe.

I'm on my couch. The only one threatened is my cat, since each time I yell, she bolts out of the room.
