The 2011 Wild Card Race????

So there has been talk about expanding the playoffs. If the playoffs were currently expanded the last few game would be little to do about nothing. As a Cardinals fan I have been on the edge of my seat for weeks and the games have been exciting.

So the question is expand or not?

Dont expand, but do move the Astros to the AL so that every team has the same (mathematical) probability of making the playoffs. I am an Astro fan and look forward to a rivalry with the Rangers

If you want to expand, realign the entire league and put six teams in, with 3-5-7-7 series and a bye in the first.

But I wouldn't want that either. But expanding just to expand is dumb.

The nba finals last what, 3 months? I believe that this drives fans away that are not fans of teams in the playoffs. In baseball the playoffs/WS lasts maybe 25 days. Everyone watches because it is short enough to still be interesting.

I voted no, just like most of the other members.

The cost is too great.


Teams would lose money as popularity of the sport would decline.

I wish they would expand the playoffs, however I also wish they would cut down on the number of games played each year. Perhaps bring it down to about 120 games instead.

Being a Braves fan, I want them in the playoffs any way they can get in, but I think they should keep it the way it is. Like mentioned before, move the Astros to the AL West. 6 Divisions of 5 teams. I really don't understand why it is that way. I guess when the Brewers joined the NL Central it made 6 teams. Move the Astros and everything is equal.
