state your opinion and do not direct it at anyone else.

State your facts in clear terms and make it a 1 post deal. Do not get into a pissing match with the other poster as that will not accomplish anything except for continuing a non stop drama fest that will go on longer than it needs to.

Your 1 post should be enough. If someone rebukes it, it will likely cause them to quote you and if your argument is better than theirs the rest of the board will agree. If it is not, then they will side with the other person.

i must apologize! my sense of humor is not the strongest of my character traits. i knew i should have went with the "must have been a typo because i am sure you want us more hostile gilmore" bit i was working on.

Either way, it was a good comment that needed to be mentioned. I appreciate you for asking the question, so that I could share my views with everyone else.

I just read this thread and you beat me to it. Seem like if we are talking about behavior on these boards, a couple of the staff members could use a refresher. Overall, I have found several of the staff, Gilmore included, to be very helpful whether it be a problem or giving purchase/trade advice, but theres a few Bold Blues that seem to be shitstarters.

I have noticed that theres been a lot more little girl fighting around here and it seems to be popping up for no reason. Sarcasm is one thing, and its something I really appreciate, but dont be a ****** to your fellow collectors. Seems like we are a dying breed already. Might as well support those of us that are here and try to help keep the hobby alive, even if your hobby is bringing in $$$ off of it.

AGREED!!! We all need to remember why we left the BMB. It was way too hostile over there. People starting flame wars over meaningless nonsense. It got to the point that I wouldn't even read the boards over there because it was too much effort to wade through the negativity. Remember folks... It's supposed to be a FUN HOBBY!!!

I enjoy reading and participating in the 10 page political argument threads on the General Board, but I do agree that on the Baseball-Hobby Board there really shouldn't be bickering and fighting. I can understand a stab here and there back and forth between a Yankees or Red Sox fan, but other than that...

It would be easy if it were a fun hobby to everyone here, but it isn't. Some people also need it as a job or even as a way to get by.

I still think adding more categories under baseball would help, not everyone is into every aspect of the hobby and the different aspects often naturally conflict.
