I actually lol'd. Hope that doesn't make me a racist.

And, to Gilmore's point, I agree on some parts. People will always have their own opinion, you can't change that.

What you can do is to try to word it or say without sounding hostile, and like you're not w/a member of the Sharks and the poster you are bashing is in the Jets ...

Oh snap, this thread just had its first West Side Story reference. First of several, I'm sure.

Gilmore makes a good point but I also think that some mods/admin sometimes can be the harshest and most brutal/rude at times
I didn't say all mods/admin but some

Witht that said, school is out in 3-5 weeks so hopefully all have patience when more youngsters post on a regualr basis then

Some have fav members and members they do not like at all. Thats natural and happens everywhere though. But sometimes posts and responses are ignored that are pretty rude. I actually disagree with a certain member who always is getting a suspension over what seems to be pety comments. Others make comments that by far are considerbly more rude and offensive. That is something, I disagree with for the most part.

Some of the comments are based over what other members see as pointless threads or uncalled for posts. Even the same topic being in 10 different threads is annoying to plenty of people. That starts arguments also and never seems to end though. Even if someone makes a thread on hobby talk and intended it for gen chat. Members will post rude comments over a simple mistake, No need to jump down someones throat over it.

And how members treat people who are not hardcore collectors or newer members. Not everyone has knowledge of every aspect of card collecting, Some members tend to be pricks about that and for no reason. Look at boomets and how people treat him, A young kid trying to learn the ropes. He pretty much was treated like **** over his lack of online trading knowledge. Instead of someone talking to that member, Telling him the do's and dont's of it. People made fun of him and treated him poorly over it, That caused him to make mistakes in the end. Everyone was new at once and probably would not of appreciated being treated like that over trying to figure this all out.

One other thing is the know it all attitudes of some members, You post a response and someone has to post after saying you are wrong. That starts plenty of fights.

I can be fairly salty from time to time, if you didnt already know...

I am trying to watch that I dont come off as being a D-bag but I do fail from time to time. My one major issue is when I disagree with someone and the debate gets heated, folks resort back to the "you're a mod and shouldnt do that" or something like that. Being a mod shouldnt exclude me from debating and generally I post in general topics.

Some of the folks who give me the most trouble are folks who have opinions i've learned something from.

Life seems to be contentious enough without arguing with people I don't know on the internet.

I come here for relaxation alone after an often hellish workday.

I have no interest in getting into tiffs with people online; just ignore people who push your buttons.

This philosophy is often hard to implement in real life, but it is incredibly easy online.

I agree that anything in the general forum is open to anything said. I know its hard to be a mod and trying to bite your tongue when it comes to plenty of things. But you know people will throw that line out there, Knowing they will complain to someone higher. Just because they didnt have a good enough comeback and just dont agree with you.

And you know you do sometimes and make an effort to not make it a habit to be one. Others seem to relish being one.
Big difference.

I bounce back and forth between a relaxed TOS political forum and FCB, so sometimes I find myself staying in relaxed TOS mode when I post on FCB. lol I don't hit send until I stop and re-read what I wrote.
