Disclaimer: I posted this on the PSA message boards as well. Sorry if that seems like overkill to some. I just didn't know how much crossover there was between the two boards. Also, I have witnessed you crazy baseball collectors on this site (which I appreciate very much! haha) and I thought some members may not frequent the other site, so here ya go!

Well, it has taken a about a month, but I was finally able to sit down and chronicle my trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame as I promised. I will let the placards in the museum do most of the talking. It took me long enough to copy and paste all the pictures! haha. If you do have any questions about a particular picture let me know and I will try to help! I apologize for some of the pictures. I do take pride in my photography, however, with the different (mostly low) levels of lighting in the HOF, coupled with glasses cases, crowds etc. it was difficult for me to capture a great photo consistently. Hopefully you can enjoy the post regardless of those facts. Here we go...

When we first got to the Baseball Hall of Fame it was a beautiful day, so we decided to walk around the grounds a bit and enjoy the nice weather before we headed in. This weather vane was cool (It is atop the Baseball Archive which I am assuming is only open to VIPs or through appointments)

To the left hand side of the HOF, there is a small courtyard with a couple of statues:

Also, in the courtyard there was a small stone path leading to a very good catcher. My guess (from a distance) was Yogi Berra. But alas I was wrong...

As you make your way along the front of the building toward the main entrance, there is a cool standings board that they update daily:

There is a door to the side of the main entrance:

Did you do the beverage trail when you went up also? My wife and I took a long weekend, and did the beverage trail, and the HOF and we had a great time. The beverage trail consists of two breweries (Ommegang and Cooperstown Brewing), a winery (I'm not into wine but I think it was Bear something) and a cider mill (which I think was called Fly Creek, but I could be wrong). If you do them all and get your "passport" stamped at each place you get a free glass at the end, and a small freebie at each place too. Great dual trip all in all!

Good show! I almost feel like I've been there, but I'm not crossing it off the list yet.

Nicely done, a lot of those pictures are about the same ones I took when I went back there about a year and a half ago.

Awesome....I plan on going there hopefully next year. What is the price of admission for the HOF and can you do it in one day? What about hotels in the area? Are they walking distance? Thanks.....

The price of admission is ~$19 per person if I remember correctly. You can easily do it in a day. I was taking pictures as well as taking time to read most of the things and I spent about 3-3.5 hours there. Cooperstown is a small town - any place you stay in the town you can stay is walking distance (for the most part)

MRMet: I did not do the beverage trail. My girlfriend and I just had dinner on Main Street and hung out around our hotel. Maybe next time :)

Awesome pictures. Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. We went on Memorial Day... I live 1.5 hours away and have the yearly membership (costs me $80 for the year vs. $60 for one time w/ family :)) We try to make 3-4 trips throughout the year. The pitcher pitching to Campanella is Johnny Podres... '55 WS Mvp. They are always adding and changing their exhibits. A couple of years ago we went on Columbus day and they had the bat that Longoria used to hit HR against Yankees and send them to playoffs only a couple weeks before.

Awesome pics! It's been 15 years since my one and only trip to Cooperstown and I can't wait to make it back.
