Bing Russell founded that team (and yes he is Kurt Russell's dad) and the movie was made by 2 of Bing's grand-sons

Y'know what would be a great marketing gimmick? A set of cards for the team at the National. Seriously, how do you NOT issue cards to market a baseball movie? I've bee hearing about this movie for a few months. I'll be watching it tonight.

I just watched this the other night and thought it was great. Bing Russell deserves a lot of credit for starting an independent team the way he wanted to, not like other pro teams. If you have not seen this, check it out on Netflix.
