The Mets can never seem to back up Johan. He has one of the worst run support numbers in the majors. They've had no problems putting up runs the past few days but every time Johan pitches they forget to show up.

i didnt realize that the Braves team was this bad.

Sad to see that Johan is 4-2 with a 0.78 era

ZERO point SEVENTY-EIGHT.

7 starts, 13 runs scored by the mets.

It is pretty bad when you have Martin Prado as your number 3 guy in the lineup...what's worse though is giving up 5 runs to a lineup that has Martin Prado batting 3rd.

I believe that Zito actually has the worst run support in baseball right now but I know Johan is right up there at the top. I still say that Lincecum is better though.

It's real simple, he should just pitch better. I've never seen a pitcher lose a game when he strikes out 27.

I don't get what J.Manual is doing? What kind of rule is it after 100 + pitches he take out Johan. His the number 1 ace let him fix the mess. Than he put in Lefty facing right handed Diaz is he smoking pot?

Some of the Mets fans where hanging a flag over the outfield wall and Francoeur turned around to tell them to take it off because the umpires told them too. Then, while the camera was on the fans, they flipped off Francoeur and the announcers started cracking up. It was hilarious.

Thats why I always say that the single most important stat that determines how good a pitcher is, is walks and hits per innings pitched WHIP. WIns means nada if you have poor offense or lousy defense.

In little league my buddy and I struck out a combined 18 in 6 innings - and lost.

We also threw a combined no hitter - and lost...

Probably wouldn't happen in the pros but hey, it could!

The same thing happened to Pedro. Whether it's his team taking a day off because they think the ace will carry him or the opposing pitcher stepping up to duel with the best in the game, there has to be a reason for it.
