Which do you prefer as the centerpiece to your collection, and why?

For me it's the full jersey and it's not even close. I'd have that sucker framed and hung on my wall whereas the card would probably sit in a safe.

This is weird.

In the barrel/full bat debate I went with the barrel - very-eye appealing card in comparison to the bat (for me).

Here, though....I might go with the jersey.

While the logo shield cards are sick and are probably the nicest cards we have in football, I would much rather have an entire game used jersey instead of just a tiny piece of it.

Jersey, unless the cost difference is way too much. If you know where to look and have some luck, you can get gamers at good prices.

Agreed. The only draw back to having the full game jersey is storage/display.

Logo shield. I have no interest in full pieces of memorabilia, game-used or otherwise.

The shield card. I am a card collector and not a memorabilia one. Simple as that for me.

I like cards more but i would go with the jersey because you are getting a logo shield with it. And comes with the full jersey.

I'd rather have a framed game used jersey, but they are too expensive and I wouldnt have a clue on where to find one.

Interesting statement. How is a game used jersey or game used shield card a gimmick? Never heard that one before. :? Yet an "awesomely" designed refractor isn't a gimmick?

LOL! If a shield card is a gimmick then every single card out there is a gimmick.

I would take a game used smelly dirty jersey from a legit source (nfl.com auctions, JO Sports, Meigray ect) all day every day over a cut logo card. Beauty of NFL jerseys, a lot of them are easy to match. You got your self a nice one of kind piece.

Depends on the situation. Once upon a time I learned that even a reputable group can have "game used" items that have never seen the field. If the seller was an NFL.com or specific charity tied to a team or organization that would be one thing. However, with bad experiences on the game used market I could live with a logo shield card if everything checked out. Even then it's hard to really know if you're getting what you think you are getting.
