Why isn't anyone talking about the Tigers?
They were the first one linked and they need serious help at 2nd.
Marlins are looking for relievers and the Tigers could trade Weinhardt, Schlereth, Perry, Villareal, Oliver (not all of them though

Seriously though, if the Marlins and Giants were to work a trade out for Uggla it would have been last year. I don't see a deal happening between the two clubs.

Seriously though, if he's not cool with 4 years and 48 million we DO have to trade him.
Jon Sanchez is a great matching piece in that San Fran could live without him, and the Gigantes need bats.
The point about Detroit having excellent relievers available is also a good one, as those are the type of matching pieces the Marlins need.
And since it would be great timing ( with Andrew Miller freshly traded away) for Dave Dombrowski to revisit the scene where he 'liberated' a future hall of famer for Miller and Maybin.

Someone has anger problems...why would the Giants trade their future 1B for Uggla? Belt is a lot more athletic and might be able to put up Uggla numbers while playing solid 1B/OF plus he is much faster.JoshHamilton said:

I would like to see the Tigers get Uggla, he is a much better option than Sizemore/Rhymes/Santiago at second.

IMO, it would take a lower starter like Sanchez and high prospect like Wheeler to get him. If I was SF, I would hate to trade Sanchez but Uggla is SO good...

He lead the league in BA against and hits per 9 innings plus he averaged over a strikeout an inning with over 200 K's this season. He's a number 1 or 2 on most staffs and Uggla has been inconsistant at times. After watching this post season I would rather have the top teir pitcher instead of the heavy hitting 2B.

The only way giving up Sanchez and anyone else is to much is if a extension cant be worked out with Uggla for longer then just next year. I would give up someone who "could hit 25-30 homers" for someone that is doing it.. especially at 2nd base. No point in over valuing your prospects... when you can get a legit hitter like Uggla.
