It was an insert. Not really a true RC. Obviously it sells well.

There were very few "true RC Auto's" back then (even the 1999 and 2000 Topps Traded Auto's are technically inserts) but the Bowman Auto's from then and the Topps Traded Auto's are viewed by almost everyone as RC Auto's and they have the price tag to match.
