well we all know the Pens last home game was Wednesday night's Game 7 loss to the Montreal Canadiens and Penguins players and coaches were at the Mellon Arena today to pack up their gear and talk to the media for the final time in the locker room.

First time I've popped into this thread. Great pics! Would be cool to be part
of such a historic event. Didn't Jean Claude van Dam film a movie there as well

Jeff so far there has been no official decision made about what to do with the Mellon. the Mayor and several city leaders want to tear it down and build stores, bars and restaurants in the area but there is also a group that is trying to get it listed as a Historical Landmark. if it is placed on the Historical Landmark list it cannot be torn down. I agree with the Mayor and believe it will help build up the area around the new arena and will obviously bring more money into the city.

Adam thanks for the kind words on the pics and as cool as it would've been to be there for Game 7 I was happy to have had the chance to experience the final Regular Season home game. I was at Game 5 so that was my last time in the Mellon.

Wow those are amazing pictures from the Mellons last regular season game. Ive been in this thread a bunch of times but somehow i missed seeing all those pics until right now. Is that Gary Roberts there at the last game? Also do u have a close up pic of all the alum that posed for that big picture at center ice? I think that would be pretty cool to see.

Bilko that is indeed Gary Roberts he has quite the loyal following here in Pittsburgh despite only playing 57 games over parts of 2 seasons with the Pens.
