Lets assemble the greatest team ever by voting on who the best overall is at each position. Up currently, starting pitchers who's career started in 1919 to 1965. I'll do the next after we get 50+ votes, then the next and so on.

VOTE FOR YOUR TOP-TWO

C - JOHNNY BENCH
1B - LOU GEHRIG
2B - ROGERS HORNSBY
SS - HONUS WAGNER
3B - MIKE SCHMIDT
LF - TED WILLIAMS
CF - WILLIE MAYS
RF - BABE RUTH
DH - EDGAR MARTINEZ

This will be a really close poll for second most likely. I had Gibson at 1 and I also voted for Bob Feller second

I have a tough time seperating Gibson and Marichal. They got my 2 votes, but its more like a 1 and 1a thing.

I like Lefty Grove, Carl Hubbell and Masaichi Kaneda instead of Wynn, Marichal and Roberts. My vote goes to Lefty Grove.

He was in the left handed starting pitcher poll along with Hubbell.

So this poll is for who we think is the best overall starting pitcher from 1919-1965 who was not already listed in another poll? Ok then I'd put Satchel Paige in the running with Gibson, Feller, and Palmer. It looks like Gibson's running away with the vote, and that's cool, he was a beast. Honorable mentions also to Dizzy Dean and Denny McClain.

Yes. This is a series of polls and they are all linked in the OP.

I dont understand how Bob Gibson can get 91% of the vote while Marichal only gets 6%.
