Bryce Harper vs. Barry Bonds ?????????

Did Bonds ever steal home?

Bonds total hits as a teenager = 0 hits
Bryce Harper total hits as a teenager = more than 0 hits

It's still early, but in my honest opinion, Bryce Harper is better than Barry Bonds

Schmidt and Mathews

Robinson is the epitomy of one-dimensional.

2800+ hits, 268 home runs and a .303 postseason batting average is one dimensional? OBP and OPS aren't too shabby either. Not an offensive force by any means, but Brooks could held his own in pitching dominated decades. Combine that with 16 gold gloves and there isn't anyone better.

Schmidt had 10 gold gloves himself along with 3 MVPs, 1 world series/world series MVP, 8 time NL HR champion...while his average isn't overly impressive, he more than makes up for it with his 548 homers and career .908 OPS...Schmidt wins over Robinson...

“Brooks never had a candy bar named after him. In Baltimore, people name their children after him."---Gordon Beard. I personally know almost two dozen people named Brooks. Don't you dare tell us that someone else might be better :)

I went with Brett. He has the best overall stats. HR's are not everything. Schmidt AVG was not very good.

And yet Schmidt had a better on-base percentage than Brett. AVG is not everything either. Schmidt was a superior hitter due to batting eye. 1507 walks to 1,096, and better power numbers.

Brooks was/is the greatest third baseman, at least that I saw play, ever to play the game. I believe it was Traynor that was regarded as the best fielder prior to Brooks. It's my view that if you saw Brooks play for any extended period of time he was far from a one dimensional player.

Schmidt, when combined with hitting and fielding, has be be either 1 or 2... While I really like the way Brett played he's likely 3rd on my list.
