I've been noticing that recently (1-2 months) this place has got a lot more active.

I'm thinking this is due to...

- Baseball starting
- UD's contest

?

Usually you would see 340-400 users online and bam yesterday...

"Most users ever online was 614 on Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:55 pm"

It seems like there's an increase in other sections of FCB like football. Pretty cool to see this place getting big!

So what's next for FCB?

I know that the Natty is comming up. Hopefully you guys get us "no go-ers" a live ustream thing in the chatroom again.

We are planning on streaming the entire show live once again at the national.

Also there will be no purple elephant, so don't ask ;)

Thank you all for joining us each and every day.

Maybe I missed it, but did you guys walk around and show dealers booths (and the cards they're selling) last year? That's what I would really like to see.

I don't see why we can't do that this year - especially with the ease of the Ustream for Android/iPhone app!

I did walk and stream some of show last year with jailbroke iPhone. It's just tough to hold the connection with all the people there.

Not to be a debbie downer, but while it is true that traffic is up, it isn't up as much as you might think.

We adjusted our software the other day to be more inline with the logout systems of other forums. So that way people don't assume that they have more people simply because their reporting system shows 1,000 people on at one time.

Other sites show that because their system keeps the users log in for an insanely long time before it removes them from the list for being idle. Our timer was set to 15 mins, it is now set to a longer period of time. This is a minor change that we feel will help out a bit with perception.

The only REAL metric is posts per day, and that number is way up.

While I don't understand the need/perception of having it look like a lot of people are online, the real metric for measuring the popularity of a forum is new posts per user and unique visitors.

We currently have 868,248 posts and 2,804 members, that's a ratio of 310 posts per member. Compare that to SCF, which has 7,432,614 posts and 31,469 members, for a ratio of 236 posts per member.
