Stars/Flames have a good one going. Vincour with his first career goal to tie it up. The kid is only 20 years old.

Flames beat Dallas in the shoot out and sweep season series 4-0. Flames tied with Chicago for 4th in West now :D

Flames also have best record in the NHL since Xmas.

Now the Montreal Police are going to investigate the Chara hit.

Saw this on twitter:
"In other news, LAPD opens criminal investigation into Daniel Sedin's goal against the Kings last week."

I think it's awesome that Canadiens fans are so vehemently against these kinds of cheap hits:

Hey, I'm not saying the Chara hit doesn't deserve criticism (it does).
I'm just saying, the police were called about one, and not the other.

So, next season, is that post moved back from the boards, or does the glass just get angled at 45 degrees? Because that should also be addressed.

EDIT - well, Chara just got called for the worst boarding penalty I've ever seen. Apparently, justice is still being served.

Hey Bungle, i know my picture looks like i was replying to your post, but i actually wasn't :)

I was just reading an article in the Vancouver Sun and they had this pictured posted so i thought i would share it with the group. No ill intentions ;)

Oh and if the Montreal Police investigated any on ice incident it should have been the Mike Cammarleri stick winging incident earlier in the year. Intent to injure was definitely in that one.

Absolute win! That was hilarious.

Regarding the hit and the boards there, I don't see why they haven't moved the glass back a good 12-24 inches already. With the open area there in most arenas for the announcers I see no reason that the glass needs to come all the way out. It was only a matter of time that a serious injury happened because of it. Move it back 12-24 inches and you won't have players catching the corner of it.

As for the cops being called...ugh, give me a break. What's even more irresponsible was that someone on a Montreal radio station encouraged people to call into the emergency lines to report this and ask the cops to look into it. Way to keep those emergency lines open for REAL emergencies.

I get the Montreal fans love their hockey, but come on, THIS is taking it a bit too far.

Oh and the "boarding" call and the subsequent "cross-checking" call on Seidenberg?? Ridiculous.

Huge Hockey game going on in Phoenix tonight between the Flames and Coyotes. Only 2 points separate the two teams and the two points also separate 5th (Calgary) and 8th (Phoenix) place.

Flames gave Kipper the night off for once in a long time and Coyotes just scored on Henrik Karlsson and take a 2-0 lead in 3rd period.

I'm sure you did. Your boys gotta pick it up.

they have started to pick it up in the last week but they definitely need to keep it up if they want to get home ice in the 1st Round.

Flyers may have won back to back, but against Edmonton and Toronto and getting outplayed late in the games is not confidence inspiring. They got out shot in the last 2 periods against an injury decimated Oilers team, and Toronto seemed to be out hearting Philly to the puck any time it was even strength play. If not for some weak goals on Reimer they should have lost that one.

Philly needs to get back to dominating play.

Completely agree. Not sure what's up with them not putting 60 minutes together. A 2 goal lead is nothing to sit on and Tocchet even said during the 2nd intermission, "They need to go out there and get that 4th goal."

I don't have a good feeling about the playoffs if they keep playing like this.

My Kings are playing tonight and really need to pick up 2 points. I need some separation in the west or I am going to need blood pressure meds.

Anyone think the mighty ducks have a good chance to make the playoffs? In the years since they entered the league, the Kings and the ducks have never been in the playoffs at the same time.
