the Kings lose Anze Kopitar to a broken ankle

Thats a huge blow to the Kings, wow.

yeah that's definitely a giant blow to them.

Jimmy Howard left the Wings Leafs game in the 3rd Period with a left arm injury. a Leafs player fell on him and landed on his shoulder.

Oilers had a PP in OT and then even a 2 man advantage for a couple of seconds, but game remains tied and we are going to the Shoot Out :D

Flames Win! Flames Win!

Amazing comeback from being down 4-1 in the 3rd to win the game in a Shoot out to keep Playoffs hopes alive (but still on life support)!! :D

Paul it's always great to go to a game and even better when they win.

the Pens held the annual Team Awards prior to the game and Marc-Andre Fleury won the 2010-11 MVP Award

Fleury also set a new Penguins Franchise Record with 150 minutes and 13 seconds of shutout hockey.

the previous record was held by Jocelyn Thibault who had 136 and 13 seconds of shutout hockey.

the Pens went to and won their 4th straight shootout. which is a new NHL Record

I assume you mean shoot out? :D

Thats awesome that MAF won Pens MVP this year and like i mentioned in that MVP thread a few weeks back, MAF should get some serious consideration for NHL MVP as well :D , although i know he obviously won't win it, he should get some votes

I did mean shootout ::facepalm::

I think Fleury will get a few MVP votes but you're right he will not win it. no matter how much the 2 of us want him to

Sidney Crosby will be released to return to full practice sometime this week by Penguins team doctors...

Awesome. I got eliminated from my fantasy hockey league today, with him on the IR, so this helps me out.

Really though, good to hear he's getting cleared for full practice. Should make the stretch run more interesting. They were talking about him on the Flyers pregame saying that his shot "is better than I've ever seen, even before the injury."

If he makes it back before the playoffs, everyone keeps contributing the way they are, and MAF keeps standing on his head....

They're gonna be a tough team to beat.

not that it should surprise anyone Sid has been working extremely hard the last few weeks since he was cleared to resume working out and skating. he appears to have improved his shot if that's possible and has gotten back into shape after not being able to do any strenuous activity for 2 months. besides Sid's leadership and scoring touch the Pens have really missed his face off ability. their face off % numbers have dropped way off since he left.

I think the Eastern Conference will come down to a matchup between the Pens and the Flyers.

You do realize that you don't have to say you think it will come down to the Pens and the Flyers in the east just because I've been saying nice things about the Pens right?
