the Pens won 4-2!!!

the Lightning & Flyers both lose
Pens are probably going to end up winning the division and getting the 2nd seed in the East. Philly's just given up until the playoffs start.

Come on now...don't be counting the B's out of the #2 seed yet! Only two points back and they now currently hold the tie-breaker over both Philly and Pitt.

The way the Bruins have been playing down the stretch, anything is possible.

And you're right, it does look a tad off top to bottom. :? Ah well. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.

we'll see about that. Friday's game against the Islanders is going to be a tough game and who knows what will happen.

Corey Perry with his 50th goal of the season tonight. Only the 2nd Duck to score 50 goals in a season. Teemu has done it twice prior.

Don't particularlly care for Perry, but the dude deserves some MVP votes.

Adam Foote will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce his retirement from the NHL. he is the last player in the NHL to have played for the Quebec Nordiques. Foote won 2 Stanley Cups with the Colorado Avalanche in 1996 and 2001. he also won a Gold Medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics and a World Cup Championship in 2004 while playing for Team Canada. he served as the Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2005-06 to 2007-08 before being traded back to the Avs. Foote was named the Captain of the Avalanche at the start of the 2009-10 season following Joe Sakic's retirement.

Penguins 2009 1st round draft pick Simon Despres was awarded the Emile “Butch” Bouchard Trophy as best defenseman in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. the 19 year old Despres is in his 4th season with the Saint John Sea Dogs. he recorded 41 points and a +/- rating of +29 in 47 games this season.

Despres will be one of the Penguins top 6 d-men next season. he had a very solid training camp this season and GM Ray Shero debated whether to keep him with the Pens or send him back to the QMJHL.

Everyone tune in to espn on Saturday night for the NCAA hockey championship game featuring the University of Michigan vs the Univerity of Minnesota-Duluth. Michigan beat heavily favored North Dakota (and their ********* fans) 2-0 last night, and UMD beat Notre Dame. Both of these things make me very happy. Go Blue!

Here's to hoping for history to repeat itself.

I think Lui's gold will be the only thing he'll ever win. He tried to blow the game for Canada. ;)
