I bid on it. Nice Rare card. Bidder #2 had 0 feedback though and the next closet Bidder was at 121.99. Looks to have gotten pushed a little

Yes I understand the Pop 1 part, the 14 being graded was the part I couldn't get to load. The registry is a **** that drives prices.

Ryan

Stuff like this is why I'm sending in a massive amount of Jeters with low pops lol. Another reason I always do .99 auctions!!

Some interesting additions this week.

1988 Topps (base Topps, not Tiffany) #666 Mario Soto PSA 10 - $158.49 + $3.50 shipping.

Why would an '88 Topps Mario Soto go that high? If it is rare to have this in psa 10 format, I feel like now that went high, someone can pull a nice copy of it from any one of the 3,000,000 others to try and grade at a 10. Maybe I'm missing something here?

2007 Topps Heritage Black Refractors #THC94 Brad Ausmus /58 PSA 10 - $112.50 + $3.50 shipping.

When i bought my 07 heritage black refractor Wakefield I paid three digits, not sure if there's a rabid ausmus collector or a set collector, either way I get it.

Some players never seem to surface on the red prisms. The reds we're retail only if I'm not mistaken. I'd drop that easy on a Wakefield, never seen one.

I know I got the Griffey, in pretty ****ty condition, for like $80. Tough to find.

The people who paid that money for the Burleson and soto have a screw loose.

Think about it, the Burleson is a dime card and the soto is worth a fraction of a penny.

So what if psa said it's GEM!!!!! If the Burleson was a 9 it's barely over grading cost and the soto is a paper weight.

We're not talking a star or legends here.

Those PSA Registry collectors are nuts. Ask an outsider and they'll tell you it's all worthless cardboard. Can't knock someone too hard because they collect something.
