Do completed sales for Pro Set and search by highest price.

You will be shocked....and I'm not joking!

All arguably justified too. So so much of their product was produced between 1989-1993 that the truly rare, truly short-printed stuff is harder to find than most 1/1 or obscure promos. I'm not referring to Lombardi holograms and well documented errors.

Since much of it affects "common" or non-superstar players, you just don't see much listed for sale. The first Paul Gillis 1990-91 Error showed up for sale this week and two more followed, odds are, very few will pop up for a while. The third and fourth Dexter Manley no bio cards ever offered for sale showed up a month or so ago and nothing since. Only two ever sold prior and they were years ago. As far as I know a 666 Steve Young has never shown up for sale and could crack $1K. Easily rarer than a Topps George Bush, Upper Deck Witt etc.

2014 Prizm Black Tanaka

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-Prizm-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I thought $1,800 was a good ending price for the seller, but I guess he/she decided to relist and it finished at $3,000 the second time. Supposedly only ships to U.S. so I don't think any Japanese collectors bid it up unless they have a resource in the states to ship them the card.

Too bad you can't find out (other than if mentioned in feedback there was a NPB) if the sale was paid for to make it legit.

It seems weird to me for a Prizm card to sell for $3000. Oh well, let him live.

Agreed, I thought I was overpaying with the $300 I spent on the Randy Johnson from the set, but looks like it's right in line with what those are going for. I mean a Didi Gregorius went for $65, so why not $300 for a (almost) HOF.
