I would have to imagine that would run afoul of the NCAA eligibility rules. Or rather since a student athlete at a NCAA member cannot do it, neither could a potential student athlete. Even those that are obviously going pro don't want to risk losing the implied leverage of being able to go to school.

I seriously doubt any of their parents would even consider it.

I would tend to agree. If the kid signed 5-10 balls for you, sure, no problem. Can you pay him $1,000 for an hour, nope, bad news waiting to happen.
