Send your first batch in yet?
Nope; maybe in a week or so. I might keep adding card to save on my shipping to them. I see that is is best to send in 500 card lots. Right now I have 800 loaded, adding 200 would be easy.
Cool, can't wait to see what comes out of "the vault"... :D

Dawson didn't have very many cool 90's cards, so I live vicariously through other players/collectors...
Just stop stirring the shat pot in the 90s thread.
Wait, what?

I'm stirring it?[/quote:2i0ron1c]

You stirred the pot taking AND took the wrong side of the argument big boy.

I know I'm not a HUGE part of this thread, but I'm sick of all the *******, cry baby *censor*.

Doubtful.....not our style.

Define "your style."

(Speaking for myself)

Its all about price and whether or not I like the look of the cards in the break. I dont have to get a $500 card to be happy. If we can keep it low and the cards look good, I am in more often than not. We dont have many prospectors in the MT, so we tend to go for stuff that has been out a while. Many of us like 90s inserts and stuff like that.

I think GQ is a great looking product, just not sure I would want to drop $80 on a slot ya know?

We bust older stuff and AIC on the box break section does the new stuff.

I see. I do prefer older stuff. Keep me posted on future breaks and I may reconsider for certain sets.

Andrew, thanks for the good chuckle.

Oh, I totally agree with you there. I mentioned GQ b/c it's...well, vintage-ish...but didn't take its high prices into consideration. I want to be clear on one thing for some of you regulars since I"m relatively new at FCB, I'm by no means someone who's into prospecting or somesuch. I'm pretty much old-school. I just don't foresee myself having enough time to put together some fun older sets (be it complete or team) due to vision issues.

Today, I get to participate in a live version of GWC bureaucracy at its finest.

I have a student who no longer wants tutoring. She told me that she will not be coming in any more. For some reason, she hasn't/won't call in to cancel the appointments. Even though everyone in the office knows she won't be there, they won't cancel for her.

So, this morning, I get to go into work early, rather than use the time to work on stuff here at home, sit down at my cubicle for the requisite 15 minutes, confirm that she is indeed NOT coming, so that they can drop her from the program for being a no-show.

I am required to be there in order to be paid for the no-show. I asked if I could just play the home version of their game today and still get paid, but no, that is not allowable.

Last week, I made the mistake of assuming that logic and common sense would make a rare appearance and I stayed home that hour. Sure enough, she did not show (as she told me she would not be), but, since I was not sitting in my assigned cubicle during this non-event, I did not get paid.

I will do everything in my power NOT to point out the stupidity of sitting dormant for 15 minutes so I can be paid for an hour, but I can't promise that Capt. Sarcasmo will not pay a visit to GWC today. ::facepalm:: ::facepalm:: ::facepalm::

I think GQ cards are about as good as it gets as far as quality. I am a HUGE fan of Masterpieces, A&G, any other product with good artwork ;)

Good Morning.

Case break update sales wise.

Sales to date $255.19
Ebay -$22.97
Postage -$11.32
Paypal -$9.73
Total $211.17

I think I can make one more set. Not sure about a forth. The collation is terrible.
Best case senario is 2 sets and we squeeze out another $30 or so.

Please talk about what you would like to do about the second case and have someone PM me about it. I don't really have access at work.

For those in the break......it look like $10 each will get us that second case.

I am in.
I'm in.
If someone from the original break doesn't want in the 2nd, I say open it up to the thread. (if everyone is cool with that)

How do we open it up to others? This is a hits draft and the two cSes worth of hits combined.
