watching sportcenter.. they say the sunglasses actually helped save him from further damage. on a side note.. In softball I threw a guy out at third one time.. he slid head first just as the throw got there low. 3rd baseman caught it but momentum carried the glove into the guys face and broke the same bone as miggy. felt horrible but his insurance covered everything
I used to play alot of 1st base on our softball teams and saw a few Dudley meets flesh instances.
One that stands out is a throw went wild, hit the runner in the forehead and the rest of the game, you could see the thread marks.
ouch! ...but I actually laughed imagining that
Don't feel bad, I laughed every time I saw him for the rest of the game.

In babe ruth league I hit a line drive, it went off the 3rd basemans mitt and hit him square in the mouth. 1 tooth was broken, and another was missing. The missing tooth ended up jammed into the kids gums.

The ball then landed at the short stops feet, who could have thrown me out, since I figured the liner was caught. I saw the aftermath, then ran to first.

Long story short, catch the ball.

I tried to throw a guy out from right center one time, as he was heading into 3rd base the ball hit him in the back of the head. The ball actually knocked him out for a few minutes and when he got to his feet they gave him home because the ball bounced off his head over the dugout! I could throw pretty good before I screwed up my rotator cuff.

Josh- just let me know what you guys decide.

A couple of new additions. How about that "Christmas Sweater" Upper Deck card? Easily the ugliest card I own.

Been too busy to buy much or post much. Hope everyone is doing well.
