George - Man that is SUCH a tough decision!!! We know that will be a sweet card but for what it has been selling for makes it really tough as I could get some nice Felix stuff for the price.

Gwynn545 - Spacing on your name man  Nice auto as well of yours. Does the cert on yours say the same as the Jeter?

Darren - Making me HUNGRY!!! Sounds really good :)

NO ONE LEAVES TONIGHT WITHOUT READING THIS

I don't know how to say this without at ballin my head off!!! A couple of weeks back I posted about a card that I have seen up for auction at that point for the third time. I was so pissed that it came up for auction when it did because I already spent money or was going to on buying tickets for my wife and I for a trip. I had to pass on the card because I couldn't do the card and the tickets. I watched it end at auction and thought....man I hope I get to see it again. And left it at that.

A couple of days ago I was contacted via PM by Pinbreaker, he let me know he had an Ethier card that he would like to send to me. Pause the story here.... If any of you recall a few months back I picked up a 2007 UD Black Lustrous Materials of Ethier off the bay and when it arrived it had a major scratch on it. I contacted the seller and he was ready to send me a refund. Since this is a PC card I passed on it and said I would pick up an upgrade if I got a deal on it. Back to my story.... Kevin let me know that he had one and wanted to send it to me...I didn't give him the background story at the time because I was typing from my phone. So today, I get several packages in the mail, many of them from eBay for the Devon Ethier cards i have picked up....and 2 very special ones from MT members.

Eric Sent me a 2011 Heritage refractor that I needed for while. Thanks you very much man!!

So when I got to the package with Kevin's name on it, I was a little dumbfounded. We at first I thought man he should does take pride in the way he ships, even it is a freebie this package is thick as hell. I was pleasantly surprised at that. So as I started to open the package, I see there is a folded up piece of paper in it, I figure he is just jotting a little note letting me know he hopes I enjoy the card for my PC. We all do it right? Not the case with this little baby....I open it up and here it what it says:

I was like well right on that was cool as hell, the guys remembered I had an issue with that previous 2007 UD Black card and chipped in and got me a new one and here it is...

But wait.....that isn't all. Remember I said the package was thick as hell......????

I turned over the bubble wrap and saw this......and for this I have no other words than from the center of my soul, I promise that this will never leave my collection. If I ever at some point in time, have only 1 baseball card left in my house and life....this will be the one. I can't thank you all enough.

I am sure this is what the note was really intended for.

Guys I can't thank you enough, seriously. And true to my word, not only am I sitting here crying like a little baby as I type this, this will card will never leave me. EVER

Alex, glad you got the card..

It's from the MT family, not just me. They all had the same feeling about family first and they were more than happy to chip in..

The UD Black was stuck hiding in a box, and I came across it the other day looking for another card.. So I'd rather have it in your collection gathering dust then in a box in my closet where it didn't see the light of day..

Good luck on your collection..

Congrat Alex!!

And the moment there is a large, HD picture available online of Trout's catch, it'll be an auto-install as desktop background

On that note, good night all!!

It's Matt :D, and no, I don't have the same cert...it has the original cert, like from the original buyback. It's like a buyback of a buyback. Most think it's probably a factory replacement card. It is not numbered, and Gwynn was not on the 2003 checklist. But I don't see that etching too often...
