Many things Japanese did not get translated or localized stateside and that annoys the heck out of me. Plus I just want to appreciate their history and culture but not without understanding their language first. Already did that for Germany so why not another one? *laughs masochistically* Ahem...

Good luck. Very tough language to master. I am a collector/student of Japanese Swords. Many variations to Kanji characters through the ages!

Just received another 01/10 for my GQ set today. Almost skipped this auction due to the title but wisely took time to read the description and...its subsequent correction.

Nope, but I own 5 swords dating as far back as 1260+/- and a few Tsuba that have some importance.

I have a Bizen sword by Tadashige of Osafune ca1260. Dotanuki was a later smithe that worked in Bizen/Higo around 1570. Very collectible smith. Wish I could find one.

This is the Tadashige Wakizashi from ~1260
It is in need of a full polish, but at $150/inch, I am on hold for now

He was a can't miss prospect, but hasn't had a real chance to shine so far.

He went to high school right here in my hometown of Huntington Beach and is always working with local Little Leaguers on a volunteer basis. Good guy.
