He's the only guy with a surly attitude I'll openly cheer for.

Have you ever met someone, thought wow you are a Fn D-bag? I met Tiger some years back when he came to Fort Bragg with his dad.......a grip and grin with the troops etc. The man had no respect for those around him or those he spoke with. Again, I hope he does well since he is great for golf but personally I will never root for him.

George - I absolutely understand what you are saying. Was this pre-*******? I honestly think he felt he had a sense of entitlement prior to being knocked into reality. I wonder if he would act differently today. I totally get it though.

LOL...I don't want to know how you know about his butthole.

I will root for him, he screwed up and he might be a *****, but I don't have to hang out with him. Hell I probably wouldn't like him if I hung out with him. But he is a great golfer.

Morning all........repost from last night.....

Anyone read the COMC post? $55 per 550ct box for processing. To me seems like a lot. Says it doesn't cover other costs like topload removal fee, lol, and other fees. My questions are has anyone sent to them before? What type of stuff do people send in? What sells best there? They scan all the cards and then you have to price them correct? I've also heard its just better to spend what you make on the site instead of taking the hit for them to send you your money. Thoughts, comments...? Thanks

I can't stop posting the MT m-f and step aside to make it fair. I have ZERO problem with that. Whomever wakes up the earliest can start it and we can let the chips fall how they may.

That work for everyone? Chris?

Also, I will be renting out my "Lightning Rod" skills. $5 PayPal, and I'l be sure to post an opinion in your thread that will - no doubt - start a 5 page HoS-bound thread.

And I will be extorting money from people to prevent my Bubonic Plague skills at stopping threads dead in their tracks.

Jurickson Profar, Xander Bogaerts and the Boston Fan Base[/h] Uncategorized
(Edit Post)
by RyanW

Several Mid-Season prospects updates have been released recently. I am happy to see that my Ranger, Jurickson Profar is at or near the top of all of them. However, to me it means that it is time to begin the sell phase for Mr. Profar. He is officially getting hyped for the true stud and future superstar he is and his card prices have reflected that. For those of us that got in early on Profar it’s a nice time to start reaping some profits. Don’t get me wrong, this probably isn’t the absolute peak for Profar, he still likely has more run in his prices if and when he performs at AAA and gets his call up, but for Prospectors the safe exit point is beginning now as you can’t get better than Number one on Keith Law’s prospect list. Sell some Profar now and slowly continue the disposition as you watch prices continue to rise (and avoid a potential injury or regression). Let’s hope he doesn’t pull a Teheran on us.
When I chose to buy into Profar, he really had everything going for him you want to see as a prospector.
1. He played a premium position
2. His tools were great and his upside was phenomenal on the field.
3. He hadn’t received a ton of hype from the big Prospect lists.
4. He played for a Big Market (Boston, New York, Chicago, LA/San Fran, Dallas/Fort Worth and to a slightly lesser extent St. Louis) I think playing for a big market team is the single most important driver other than a player’s talent…see Jackie Bradley Jr.
5. He was dominating much older competition- this is what stars do!
Using these key ideas and applying them to the 2012 Bowman Chrome Auto Crop I see a handful of hitters that profile for prospectors like Profar (Taveras, Bell, Bogaerts). For me the guy to stock up on is Xander Bogaerts. Taveras is probably a better talent but his prices have already jumped a ton.

Xander on the other hand can be bought for the following as this post:
Refractors: $40-55
Blues: $125-$135
1. Plays a premium position: He plays SS- but will probably move to 3b
2. His tools were great and his upside was phenomenal on the field. Scouts rave about his easy power!
3. He hadn’t received a ton of hype from the big Prospect lists. Keith Law has him at 29. Sickels has him much higher.
4. He played for a Big Market (Boston, New York, Chicago, LA/San Fran, Dallas/Fort Worth and to a slightly lesser extent St. Louis) I think playing for a big market team is the single most important driver other than a player’s talent…see Jackie Bradley Jr. He plays for the most rabid baseball card collecting fan base!
5. He was dominating much older competition- this is what stars do! Xander is mashing as 19 year old in the Carolina League
check out a recent article http://www.nesn.com/2012/07/xander-...eyeler-of-hanley-ramirez-alfonso-soriano.html
I’d love to hear your comments about Xander.

On another note, I see the Cubs aqiured another player from Boston.
The Chicago Cubs today acquired right-handed pitcher Justin Germano from the Boston Red Sox for a cash consideration. Right-handed pitcher Jairo Asencio has been designated for assignment.

Jairo Asenco was claimed off waivers by the Cubs from Cleveland on June 1.

And, why the hell has Dempster not been traded yet, he starts tonight as of now, but that can change real soon I'm sure. And the rumor here in Chi-town is he will be in LA (Dodgers)soon. I'm not high on anything I have heard LA would give u for him. I really think he will go to the Tiggers if they would part with their 3rd base Prospect like the Cubs are looking for. They really want pitching and a Major league ready 3rd baseman.

This is 50% off the normal rate. I plan to send 2000 $1-$10 cards.

say this yesterday while watching the Cubs game
[h=3]Extra bases[/h] • Thursday's series finale against the Marlins ended a stretch that began June 8 in which the Cubs played only three of 34 games against National League Central opponents. Friday's series opener in St. Louis begins a stretch in which the Cubs will play division foes in 26 of their next 32 games.

The Cubs entered Thursday hitting .305 (32-for-105) with runners in scoring position this month. They batted only .199 (39-for-196) in such situations last month.
