Careful Jamison. Andrew is just cantankerous enough to pour java on a snow man.;)

Good morning guys. Start class today. Thankfully I have just 2, US History Since 1877 and Individual Sports Activities. My online class still isn't showing up so I may have to go and talk to them about that one. Its going to be nice being done by noon Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I want to take a heavier course load next semester, but my scholarship will cover 16 credit hours and right now I'm at 14 for this semester

Wanna trade classes? ;)

75-100 is not bad at all. I had a class in my second year and the reading low was 300 pages......and that was the week on Marx.

The page numbers are quite deceiving in law school. The material is very dense and complicated, so it takes an extremely long time to get through despite the short amount of pages on average. A 15 page reading assignment would take 2-3 hours, minimum, to get through. A 50 page reading assignment for Corporations will take me about 5-6 hours if I'm lucky. And that's just one class of five that I have to worry about.

This past Thursday I had 180 pages to read for my three classes total. It took me a span of 3 days to read all of that and even then I was skimming some stuff just to get it done.

Don't get me wrong, it could be much worse. I could have even more reading or even harder classes, but it's by no means easy. Granted, I chose to go to law school so it's my own fault.

I agree, I brought grad school on myself. Several family and friends are lawyers, not for me. I will be the first to admit that just because it was "read" does not mean I remember/understand the complete argument.......that is what the resource lib is for lol.

Same here. I get the reading done, but I don't understand a good portion of it. And remember even less of it after a week has passed. It's good times once finals roll around and you have 1,000+ pages for each class to try to remember and study in a weeks span.

Weimer you have me beat there. The class that I took was Scope of Biological Anthropology. We were reading at least a book a week. A lot of that stuff was way over my head!

Thanks for the wishes, dudes. (Even Dave, who is a bit of a smarta$$ this morning.)

As far as reading for courses goes, I know how that is. For the lit courses, we average about 300 pages per week. In addition, we are expected to read 5-6 novels per semester.

Due to the varying styles of writers, the assignments can either be a joy or an ordeal.

Happy birthday, Andrew. I suppose I should join everyone else in saying it. ;)

I think I'd rather do my law school reading than that. Sounds uhh...dreadful.

I really enjoyed my law classes, but don't regret the decision to pass on law school at all ( Especially when I see how much Med School loans are.) If I had followed through, I can't even imagine what our lives would be like.

I feel like I have come down with something. I feel naseaus, cold sweat, and a bit dizzy. Tried eating, but that has not yet helped.

One of the main reasons I changed my major from pre-med last year. Plus the teachers were horrible
