Morning guys
I only sleep about from last night. I don't really know why I can not sleep.
It seems that there are going to be temporary shut-downs at work and they can last up to 6 weeks I'm a Union Stewart and I have super seniority as an officer of the union.
But from what has happened this past week, I just may ask to waive that right and take one of the lay-offs. I hate some of the inept people I work with.

But working for Cat, we know going into it, that it is a business that has it's cycles.
And all is not lost for me I think actually, because sadly enough I would make almost as much on unemployment then I would be working. Now I said almost and I think it would only be about 100 dollars different ::facepalm:: in 2 weeks. There are provisions in the contract that we get our medical paid for the time off up to 6 weeks,if it is longer the 6 then we pay like we were still working at our rate of 500 a month broke down in 2 weeks at a time, and ends after 12 weeks. Then it would be COBRA and we all know how much that can be. Plus I get 100 dollars a week sub-pay also. So I'm crunching the numbers and seeing I can keep my sanity and get some time away from there.
